Manager operations (Dutch speaking)

We’re searching for an experienced Operations Managers to empower our transition from local startup to international scale-up. Your role is to manage daily operations, set standards for the company and work with team leads to ensure that processes, training & quality of output reflect these standards. We also expect that you will be a tech-savvy and data-driven driver of change & improvements, helping is growt to the next level in every part of business.


What can you tell your friends when they ask you what you do?

  • You work at one of the best startups in Europe (according to Google, Rocket Internet & MCKinsey) and it’s your responsibility to make sure that everything in the company runs smoothly.

  • Your responsibilities range from managing HR (hiring, onboarding, training) to finance (invoicing, forecasting), internal operations (processes, standardization) and even supporting sales and customer success to standardize & improve their ways of working.

  • You will be balancing strategic projects (for example overseeing change initiatives across departments) with daily operational tasks that simply need to get done (like sending our monthly invoices).

How will you be doing this?

  • You execute the day to day operations in the most efficient way

  • You improve operating procedures to make the organization more efficient.

  • You oversee and help implement change initiatives.

  • You keep a constant eye on company, team and individual OKR’s and make sure everyone stays on track or objectives and initiatives are re-aligned when needed.

  • You make sure that you, our team members and the company as a whole becomes better at what they do every day!

  • You establish policies that promote company culture and vision

  • You make sure we hire according to plan and new hires get up to speed rapidly via effective training & onboarding.

  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance

Requirements

What will you bring to the team?

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

  • 3+ years working experience in a similar role

  • Fluent Dutch and English

  • At least 4 days per week in Amsterdam

  • Well-organized and loves to create structure

  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, etc.

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities and interpersonal skills

  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving

  • Believe in our vision & solution

  • Tech-savvy: good understanding of how technology & automation can standardize process, ensure execution and save time

  • Experience with systems such as Trello, Slack, Zapier, Hubspot, Recruitee is a plus

  • Experience with methods such as OKR’s, agile, scrum is a plus

  • Experience with ISO27001 is a plus
