We are helping organizations like Rabobank, ING, AEGON, NUON to increase customer satisfaction, productivity levels and reduce time spent on administration. That’s why we’re looking for a commercially minded person to head up our Business Development team.

About the role

We’re looking for someone who has the necessary experience to lead our team of Business Developers (currently 3 FTE, going to 9 FTE end of year). Someone with the right skills to coach the team to further develop themselves and at the same time someone who is still open to grow and receive coaching her/himself. We are not looking for someone who manages from a distance, we need a leader who earns the trust and respect of the team by leading from the front. Someone who has the ability to generate his/her own leads and knows what it takes to build a sales strategy, create the right structure for the team and stands next to them on our journey to conquer the European market.


As Head of Business Development you will grow and solidify our position as the trusted partner of choice for video-calling used by enterprise sized customers (typically 1000+ FTE). In order to be successful in this role you will need to understand the dynamics of big corporations, while having an entrepreneurial start-up mentality yourself. Both in mindset and experience. You are not a stranger in the world of SaaS solutions and are skilled in triggering new ways of working amongst your customers.

Requirements

  • A personal drive to give and receive coaching

  • Intrinsic motivation to be an entrepreneur and lead a team

  • 5 years of experience in selling (startup) software for enterprise customers, selling to sales stakeholders (not marketing) a plus

  • 2 years of management experience in leading a BD team

  • Experience in building a sales team with various roles

  • Relevant Start-up / Scale-up experience

  • Skilled in selling new ways of working, strong in consultative selling

  • Language: fluent in English, Dutch and fluency in other languages a plus

  • Willing to work from office in Amsterdam

  • Comfortable working in a high growth environment

  • Successful track record with previous new business sales efforts

  • Understanding of dynamics within big corporate clients

  • Positive mindset, fun, inspiring and a true team player
